PARR'S PLUMBING & HEATING
How we got our start
Bill Parr started his apprenticeship in the plumbing trade in 1955, under the eyes of Fred Musselman. Fred and his son Dale were the owners of Fred A. Musselman Co. After serving a five year apprenticeship. Bill applied for and passed the Allentown Journeyman Exam. Continuing with his education Bill studied for and passed the Allentown Master Plumber exam. He was now a registered Licensed Master Plumber. However the law at that time was that, only one Master was allowed in a shop unless it was a son or daughter. Bill’s license was held in escrow until the time that he would be using it in his own business. Parr’s Plumbing & Heating was established in 1969. It was founded by Bill and a cousin of his, Donald Parr. The original papers filed with the State of Pennsylvania showed Parr’s as Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Contractors. The partnership between Bill & Donald was dissolved a year later. Bill continued with Parr’s Plumbing and Heating and built it into what it is today. Over the years we have done many repairs, contract work and remodeling for many customers. Probably you have seen our trucks in your neighborhood, or where you work.

Parr’s Plumbing & Heating is also involved in one of the oldest trade associations in the country, that being the Allentown Master Plumbers Association. A.M.P.A was established in 1897 by a local group of plumbers concerened about the future of plumbing and all it's related fields in the Allentown area. Since Parr’s P&H was established we have been a part of that group.
